About the Journal

Methodist Review, ISSN: 1946-5254 (online), is an open access, peer-reviewed electronic journal which publishes scholarly articles in all areas and eras of Wesleyan and Methodist studies. Methodist Review is sponsored by the Candler School of Theology, Emory University; the Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University; Duke Divinity School, Duke University; the Association of United Methodist Theological Schools; and the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry of The United Methodist Church.

Registration: Free, one-time registration is required for access to the contents of Methodist Review. There is no charge for registration or for access to contents after registration. Simply click on the "Register" link on the upper right corner of the journal home page and provide the requested information. On subsequent visits, click on "Login" and enter your registered username and password.

Submissions: Methodist Review has an open submission policy: authors are invited to submit the full text of articles on any appropriate subject to be considered for publication in the journal. All articles submitted to the journal are expected to conform to the requirements set forth in the MR Author Guidelines and Submission Instructions. All submissions to the journal are initially screened for suitability by the editorial team, and if judged suitable then receive bind peer review by at least two established scholars who are knowledgable about the subject of the submission.

Copyright: All material published in Methodist Review is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives License, under which the authors retain copyright ownership and all intellectual property rights to their work; grant the journal right of first publication for the work; and agree that others may share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal but may not make any modification or commercial use of the work without the permission of the author. Authors are also free to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), in whole or in part, on the condition that its initial publication in this journal is clearly acknowledged.
